Dream Today

Good Wednesday morning blog friends. I am so glad that you stopped by today.

Here is my card for Paper Pretties Wednesday's Flower Challenge. I used Dream Quotes Stamp Set to make this for my dear friend's daughter who is graduating from nursing school. Congratulations Emily, I am so proud of you.

I just love this designer paper from Graphic 45. It is called "Le Romantique" and I thought that it would be perfect for today's flower challenge and I the colors are so lovely.

Now for the punched layer. I found this wonderful tutorial from Becca Feeken. Pleas visit her blog Amazing Paper Grace to see how make a "Perfect Punched Border Frame" with a straight border punch. Becca is a very kind lady who is so willing to share her amazing talent as an artist. Please take time to visit her and say hi.

For this card I used Fleur de Lis border punch by EK Success. It was easy and her tutorial is very good. I wanted to layer the punched piece to make it pop so it adhered it to a piece of Peach Parfait with removable tape and just cut around it with scissors. When I was sure that I liked how it looked it adhered it with permanent adhesive.

Card Recipe

Stamps: Dream Quotes
Ink: Distressed Ink Antique Linen and Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Always Artichoke, Peach Parfait, Whisper White.
Accessories: Fleur de Lis border punch by EK Success, Labels 4 Nestabilities, Champagne Pearls from Kaiser Kraft, Willow organdy and satin ribbon, Stampin Dimensionals.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. I love hearing from you. Have a great day.

Hugs and Blessings,
Deb

Giddy Up!

Good Saturday morning blog friends.
Here is another precious digi image from Karen's Doodles. It is called "Ride Em Cowgirl"

I made this for my daughter Emily's twenty-second birthday. When she was little she had a rocking horse and would rock so hard I thought for sure that she would take off in flight. When she was eleven she saved her money and bought a horse named BlackHawk and today they are still together. He is now twenty-nine years old and they are best friends.

Here is a couple of pictures of them.

She has grown to be such a wonderful young woman and we are so very thankful that God allowed us to be her parents. Happy Birthday Emmy, love you.

Card Info: Stamp: Ride Em Cowgirl Digi Stamp. This image comes in rubber as well. Ink: Bashful Blue Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, Georgia Pacific White, Quick Quotes designer paper by Irresistible. Accessories: Copic Markers, Pure Poppy Swiss Dots Satin ribbon and Rustic Button Twine from Papertrey Ink. Black buttons from my stash, Classic and Scallop Square Nestabilities.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs and Blessings,
Deb
