He Lives

This beautiful image is a sneak peek from one of the sets in the February Release from Sweet' n Sassy Stamps. It's called 'He Lives' and the sentiment is a Eureka Stamp. I thought that is was so fitting to put them together.
I mounted this on a piece of chipboard so it could be hung or placed on a stand. It looks like navy blue in this picture but it is really mounted on Elegant Eggplant. I placed each crystal and pearl on one at a time to make my own design.
This wonderful patterned paper is from Prima Marketing and is called ' Fairy Flora'. I wanted to achieve a sunrise effect and matched the ink for the sponging around the cross.
I will display this during the Easter season. I am so thankful for life in Christ. I don't know where I'd be without Him. I hope that this honors Him.

Recipe
Stamps: He Lives, Eureka Stamps
Ink: Adirondack Espresso, Mauve Mist, Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Georgia Pacific White, Fairy Flora

February Fairy Calendar

Hi everyone, thank you so much for visiting today.
I want to share my February Fairy Calendar with you today. I wanted to stay away from the traditional red and white and I have this absolutely wonderful fairy designer paper form Prima Marketing called Fairy Flora. Oh it is so pretty and screams fairies!
I love these precious Fairies form Michelle Perkett Studios. Michelle is a sweet lady and has so many different images to choose from. Please visit her Etsy store and get some treasures of your own. You won't be sorry.

The stand is from Taylored Expressions. I am trying to decide what color I want to paint it.
These wonderful little calendar pages are form Papertrey Ink. They are the 'Mini Calendar Pages' and 'Calendar Basics' stamp set coordinates with it.
If you want to see a close up of my calenday page just click on the image to make it bigger.

Here is a close up the the fairy. Yes, I cut out the little heart flowers and fairy by hand. My friend thought that I was nuts but a girl has to do what needs to be done. :) It really wasn't that bad.

Recipe
Stamps: The Love Fairy Digi and Calendar Basics and pre-printed Mini Calendar Pages
Ink: Distressed Ink Antique Linen and Tea Dye, Mauve Mist
Paper: Pear Pazzazz, Mauve Mist, Prima Marketing Fairy Flora designer paper, Georgia Pacific White.

Da Bears

Hello beautiful stamping friends. I hope that you are well.

My sister has to be the Chicago Bear's #1 fan and I made this card to help ease the pain of her beloved football team's defeat last Sunday. Who better to assist me in this then Riley Moose. He is such a kind little fellow. He got together with some of his moose buddies and posed for a team photo. If you haven't yet, please pay him a visit at Riley and Company. He will make you smile!!

The inside sentiment reads: "Dear Sherry, Our #1 fan, So sorry that we let you down. Who knew Bears couldn't eat cheese? We'll do better next year. Your Bears" :)

To get the team of players I used the masking technique. Splitcoast has a tutorial for this technique. Give it a try. I cut out one extra image and popped it up in front of the rest to give some dimension.

Recipe
Stamps: Football Riley, Fundamental Pharses
Ink: Garden Green, Going Gray, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie, Not Quite Navy, Georgia Pacific White
Accessories: Copic Markers, 0, W0, W1, E13, E17, E18, E29, E30, E31, E33, E34, E37, YR14, YR15, B0000, B21, B34, B37, B39. White Gelly Roll Pen, Classic Rectangle Nestabilities, Die Cut #'s, Stampin Up Oval Punches, Stampin Dimensionals.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Our Refuge

Psalm 91:2 is one of my favorite Bible verses and it is available with three other life giving verses as part of the Our Refuge stamp set from Sweet n Sassy Stamps.
I wanted the verse to be the focal point so I kept this card simple using Labels 10 Nestabilities to frame the image. This beautiful designer paper is form TPC Studio and is called Mediterranean Summer and coordinates so well with Not Quite Navy and Marina Mist. I sponged lightly around the verse with Marina Mist and added Kaiser Kraft Pearls. The ribbon is form Michael's and is Celebrate It ' Holiday Ribbon'. I punched the bottom with an EK Success edger punch ' Pointed Flowers' and layered it on top of Whisper White to set off the beautiful design.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Our Refuge
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Marina Mist
Paper: Marina Mist, Not Quite Navy, Georgia Pacific White, Whisper White and Mediterranean Summer Designer Paper.
Accessories: Kaiser Kraft White Pearls, Labels 10 Nestabilities, Holiday Ribbon, EK Success Pointed Flowers edger punch

Thank you so much for visiting and have a wonderful day.

Need a Cuddle?

I wanted to play along with some challenges today and I came up with this card. The layout is this weeks Splitcoast Sketch Challenge, SC316 and I paired it with this weeks Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge, PWC137, using paper piecing on your image. The image I chose is Cuddle Me Sophia. Isn't she sweet? She also is available as a digi stamp.

I love little Sophia and since it is so cold outside it thought you all could use a little cuddle. :)

Here is a side view of my card so you can see the layers and how I finished the inside.
I have started decorating inside my cards because my husband told me that my cards were so nice but the insides were boring and he was right. So from now on, even if it is just simple, I am adding some fun to the inside of my cards. Thanks sweetie.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Cuddle Me Sophia
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Distressed Ink Antique Linen
Paper: Brocade Blue, Georgia Pacific White, Retired Stampin Up designer paper, Doodle Bug designer paper.
Accessories: Copic Markers, 0, W0, W1, E0000, E00, E30, E31, E34, E41, E43, E44, B0000, B32, B21. Lt. Rain Satin Ribbon from Papertrey Ink. Martha Stewart Scallop Heart border punch, Scallop Edge Framabilities, Heart Block CuttleBug embossing folder, Making Memories Heart eyelet. Stampin dimensionsals.

Thank you for stopping by. Stay warm!!

January Calendar

I wanted to make a special calendar this year and it took me a while to decide which images that I wanted to use. Then I remembered that I have these beautiful Fairies form Michelle Perkett Studio, and that was it. What better way to welcome the New Year than with Michelle's Enchanted Slumber Fairy. Isn't she lovely? I thought that I should post my January Calendar before the month is over. :)
This wonderful frame is from Taylored Expressions. I am not sure whether I want to stain it of paint it, so for now it is bare wood. It works so well for my calendar.

I cut the main color, Baja Breeze at 8 1/"2 x 6" and scored the top at 7" and added eyelets to make the top edge stronger for the binder rings and then I just started creating.
The calendars are from Papertrey Ink. I used Calendar Basics stamp set which is good for eleven years :) and the Coordinating Pre-Printed Mini Calendar pages.

Card Recipe:
Stamp: Enchanted Slumber Fairy Digi Stamp and Pre-Printed Mini Calendar Pages
Ink: Antique Linen
Paper: Baja Breeze, Georgia Pacific White and Fairy Flora designer paper from Prima Marketing Inc.
Accessories: Copic Markers, Spica Glitter Pens, Start Dust Gelly Roll Pen, Swarovski Crystal Rhinestones. Gold Satin and Pink Taffeta ribbon. Fiskars border punch and Fairy Tale paper roses. Stampin Dimensionals.

Thank you so much for visiting. I hope you day is filled with joy and blessings.

Hugs,
Deb

Emmy's Bed Time Prayers

Bed time prayers are such a special time with our children and this sweet image from Mo Manning called 'Em' captures the innocence of it. This image reminds me of my youngest daughter Emily, now almost twenty-two, who had a bunny just like this one that she called "De Det" They were inseparable. She still has him but now he sits in my studio so every time I see it I think of her.
I made this card a 5x7 to and used Spellbinders Labels 10 Nestabilities to showcase the image well and colored with my Copic Markers and Spica Glitter pens. Martha Stewart's Lace Heart border punch graces the bottom of the card and of course I had to add some sparkles with Swarovski Crystal Rhinestones.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Em by Mo Manning
Ink: Distressed Ink Antique Linen and Tea Dye
Paper: Georgia Pacific White, Lovely Lilac, Retired Stampin Up Designer Paper.
Accessories: Copic Markers, E0000, E00, E01, E30, E31, E33, E37, E39, E41, Bv0000, BV000, Bv01, BV04, 0, W0, W1. Spica Glitter pens Lavender, Pink and Black. Spellbinbers Nestabilities Labels 10 and Martha Stewart's Lace Hearts border punch. Swarovski Crystal Rhinestones from Art Beads .com. Lt Green Satin Ribbon, Paper Flowers and Stampin Dimensionals.
